What is Spyware?
Q: What is Spyware?
A: Spyware is a new form of software, which can cause severe problems to your computer. There are many steps you need to take to prevent this software from being installed onto your computer. Most people have never heard of the term Spyware and have no idea what it is. Spyware is generally a program or programs installed on a person’s computer without their knowledge. |

| There are several programs, which are available on the Internet that can and will install Spyware. DO NOT install the following programs: KaZaa, KaZaa Lite, DietK, BearShare, Limewire, P2P Networking, Gator, GAIN, Precision Time, Date Manager, CometCursor, Zone Alarm, Toolbars, Browser Enhancers, Third Party Browsers*, and Download managers. *Third Party Browsers are web browsers other than Internet Explorer. DO NOT open ANY email attachments unless you know whom it is from, and that may not be enough, or if you Anti-Virus program does not have the latest updates. (THE ACTION OF GETTING THE PROGRAM IS THE PROBLEM, NOT THE PROGRAM IN MOST CASES). |

Q. I HAVE AN ANTI VIRUS PROGRAM, DOESN’T IT PROTECT MY COMPUTER?
A. NO! Anti-Virus Programs installed on your computer do not always prevent virus infections because they must be updated on a daily basis. They also do not find, stop, or remove Spyware. Virus's can also be in a Trojan form, which does not need to be executed to run and infect the system and may not be detected the same day of infection. Trojans can be installed on you computer the same way Spyware is installed. We are not representatives of the Anti-Virus Companies or Spyware Removal Companies. We use these software tools to help identify and fix problems on your PC. However, if you want information about the products and how to use these programs, it is up to you to contact these companies’ websites.
